Informal auditions for our Christmas shows 'Mary Poppins' and 'After Mary' took place during class time throughout September. Students are notified of their parts either in class or by email.
Students and family members are invited to celebrate the year's progress at our annual OSCARS event. The evening begins with your entrance onto the red carpet, where a 'paparazzi' photographer is waiting to catch you in your fabulous OSCARS attire. Then, you are invited to watch some of our students perform in an improvised comedy show. After a hilarious start to the evening, we will see a variety of singing/dancing/acting performances from some of our students. ALL students who attend will be presented, by our 'special guests', with their very own OSCAR award for their progress at Wild Things throughout this academic year.
THIS EVENT CAN SELL OUT QUICKLY. PLEASE BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. Tickets will be available from approximately April of each year.
A £25 'student show fee' is payable for each student at the beginning of each show term (usually April and September). The 'show fee' is a contribution towards the cost of show-related materials, such as set, props, costume-hire and professional photographs. Wild Things Drama will obtain costumes and props and the show fee will cover the students' hire of costume from Wild Things Drama for the duration of the show. Costumes and props must be returned after each show in excellent condition. Students are advised to buy a pair of plain black pumps or character shoes, which can be used for any show - as shoes are not covered by the costume fee. The 'Student Show Fee' also covers the cost of a professional photographer, who will take photographs at dress rehearsal. All photographs will be circulated digitally to all parents/carers following a show (please note that if these are used on social media, the photographer (Robbie Hardy at PhotosbyRob) should always be credited.
