Wizard of Oz Summer School - Book your place NOW!

Wild Things Drama Ltd is offering 20 places on its
'Wizard of Oz Summer School' this July!

The course will take place at Delph Theatre in Saddleworth from Monday 25th - Friday 29th July 2011, 10am-4pm each day.

The week will start with a tour of the theatre and auditions for parts, followed by daily workshops and rehearsals and will end with a public performance of 'The Wizard of Oz' at 7.30pm on Friday 29th July.

The course fee is £90 per young person for the full week (with a discount of 10% for parents booking for more than one child). A £10 non-refundable deposit is required on booking.

Rehearsals and Show Time!!

Just to eliminate any confusion over rehearsal times for Willy Wonka - all rehearsals from now until the show will be at Delph Theatre (above Delph Library) and will be on the following days/times:

- Wednesday 6th Oct, 5-6pm    Main Characters Only
- Friday 8th Oct, 5.30-7.30pm Everybody - DRESS REHEARSAL
- Saturday 9th Oct, 9am-12pm  Everybody (don't come in costume in the morning)
    PARENTS PLEASE PICK YOUR CHILDREN UP AT 12 O'CLOCK
- Saturday 9th Oct, 1.30pm Everybody IN COSTUME ready for the show!

Parents - please note the show will begin at 2.30pm. You are welcome to make your way in from 2pm, there will be tea and coffee for sale in the bar area.

Can I also take this opportunity to thank all the children for all their hard work learning lines and attending extra rehearsals. It will all be worth it when you get that massive round of applause on Saturday!

This year, Wild Things Denshaw is getting in the Christmas spirit early - the plan is for parents and children to go and watch the Pantomime 'Beauty and the Beast' at the Gracie Fields Theatre on 19th December in Rochdale. If you would like to join in and come along, tickets are £15 for adults and £11.50 for children and can be reserved from this Saturday from Wild Things Denshaw. Please make any cheques payable to 'Wild Things Drama Ltd'. The performance is a matinee (2.30pm).

Tickets are now on sale for Wild Things Drama Club Denshaw's production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The show will take place at Delph Theatre on Saturday 9th October at 2.30pm. Tickets are £5 each (under 3s go free) and can be reserved from this Saturday. To make reservations, fill in your form at Drama Club this week. All the children are working very hard on this production so SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Our Denshaw drama club will be performing their version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Delph Theatre on Saturday 9th October 2010, 2.30pm. Auditions will be held on Saturday 28th August at Denshaw Village Hall. Once parts have been allocated, children must take the time to learn their lines and come prepared to perform during classes without their scripts.

New Drama Schools to open soon!

Our two new drama schools in Halifax and Hebden bridge are due to open at the beginning of September. This is a really exciting move for Wild Things, and we're looking forward to replicating the success of our Denshaw drama school in Yorkshire! Classes will be available for 3-10 year olds as well as 10-17 year olds. Call Nancy on 07891 908 912 for more information or to reserve your place.
